Visa Secure is a technology that improves security for online card transactions. It reduces the possibility of fraud by using an additional password which ensures the user making the purchase is the actual cardholder.

Registration is a one-off process that can be done on your card issuer's website. Otherwise, you'll be asked to confirm your identity and select a password right after you enter your card details on a merchant's website. You will then use that same password to authenticate all subsequent online transactions.
